Outstanding

This is a must in any urgent care/ER ....photos are excellent and just the right amount of written text to have a working review of almost everything one would see in these settings.It has always been easier to learn info. when it is hooked up to a photo. This is one of those that should and could be read cover to cover by any primary care/ER physician. It expands your differential greatly. I'm ordering my second one tonite.

This is a must for all medical students, doctors, and even parents. I read one case a day during my medical education and it has provided many benefits. I have even used it to save two trips to the ER (because the treatments at the ER would have been fluids and pain medication).

About the Author
Naomi E. Balaban, a reference librarian for more than twenty-five years at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, has extensive experience in the areas of science and consumer health. She edited, with James Bobick, "The Handy Science Answer Book, The Handy Anatomy Answer Book," and "The Handy Biology Answer Book." She has a background in linguistics and a master s degree in library science.
James Bobick recently retired after sixteen years as Head of the Science and Technology Department at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. During the same time, he taught the science resources course in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. He recently co-authored, with G. Lynn Berard of Carnegie Mellon University, "Science and Technology Resources: A Guide for Information Professionals and Researchers." He has master s degrees in both biology and library science.
They both live in Pittsburgh, PA.

Tom Long is a lecturer at the University of Reading. He has been a visiting professor in International Relations at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas in Mexico City and previously taught at American University's School of International Service, where he completed his PhD His research focuses on dynamics of asymmetry in international relations, particularly foreign policies of Latin American states vis-a-vis the United States. His work has been published in International Security, Diplomatic History, and Latin American Research Review, and has won prizes from the International Studies Association's Diplomatic Studies Section and the Middle Atlantic Council of Latin American Studies.
